Lily of the Nile

Right in front of our house we have some lily of the Nile plants... flowers...  Anyway, my grandma loves them and she asked me to take pictures of them periodically.  So, here they are:

Just Some Catching Up

I haven't really been posting lately.  I'm sorry to all of those who ask at church if there are any new posts and I have to say that I haven't yet, but I will.  Well, this is me FINALLY doing it. :)  Sorry it took so long!

Okay, let's get down to business.  I am posting some pictures that I have taken over time in the past month-ish....  So, here they are:

I really like this little white chair.  It sits next to my grandma in her wheelchair.  :)  It's for any visitors, or if we just want to visit. :)

These were my Grandpa's gloves.  They're huge.  And worn.  And cute. :)  In a old-vintage-y way... :)

Not to toot my own horn, (but toot, toot) but I think this is the prettiest picture I've taken and it looks professional.  But, that's coming from the person who took it, so, what does it count for???  :P

Magnolias, Daisies, and Tulips

Yesterday my grandma asked me to go take a picture of her little Magnolia tree with a blossom.

These are some Magnolia buds.

Karis got flowers for her birthday yesterday.  They were gerber daisies, tulips, and lilies.

Meg: Future Model

These pictures are just me and Meg messing around taking "modeling" pictures. :P  She really wants to be a model, and I really want to take pictures, so, compromise. :)

Flowers

I took these pictures today and have decided that, even though I already blogged today, to post them.  Well, some of them.  :)

These past two pictures were of Easter Lilies.  So pretty.

Easter

Yesterday, we finally got our Easter decorations up.  And I, of course, took pictures of them.

The pictures are pretty self-explanatory, so I'll leave it at that.

Ron Paul

These pictures are from last Saturday, but who cares...

So, my mom ordered a huge Ron Paul decal/sticker for the back of our Suburban.  She put it on and I took pictures of it.  Some are pretty good.  Just look for yourself:

This is my mom's favorite.  It is currently our computer screen-saver. :)

I took some more pictures today, but I'm going to post the others from this past week.  So, here they are:

My grandma asked me to take pictures of this bird.  She even told me just where to stand to take it. :)

I took this picture just to prove that I could make anything and everything look good with that camera.

I'm sorry about how lazy this post is, but it took me 3 days to finally post it.  I just had nothing to say, really...

Woot! Woot!

I am superty duperty excited about this!!!!!  I thought to myself, "Maybe the Canon cord will work in the Nikon."  I tried it.  It worked!  So I downloaded about 300 pictures onto the computer, and chose 6 of them to blog.  I'm sure you'll be seeing many more in the near future.

So, anyway, here are some recent pictures of mine:

This is my grandma's piano.  I really like the lighting.  It's very warm, as fancy photographers would say :P

That cute kitty is Mittens.  She is my grandma's, also.  (Not technically, but she's a stray, and my grandma pets, brushes, and feeds her periodically.)

The picture above is a "late-bloomer", as Grandma calls it.  It's a Redbud tree.  Very pretty.  And now I have a camera that can actually FOCUS!

I've posted some other photos of the pansies, but this one is close up.

We got a gutter put up, for the rain, you know, and we also bought a "rain chain"  for it.  Nate was out working in the yard, so that's him in the background.  :)

New Camera

So yesterday I received a package from my amazing cousin.  He sent me his Nikon D200. :)  I am sooo happy about it.  But sadly, I can't put the pictures that i've taken onto the computer because there's no connection cord and the memory card wonn't go into our printer/computer.  :(  But, hopefully soon, I'll have it.  :)
