Woot! Woot!

I am superty duperty excited about this!!!!!  I thought to myself, "Maybe the Canon cord will work in the Nikon."  I tried it.  It worked!  So I downloaded about 300 pictures onto the computer, and chose 6 of them to blog.  I'm sure you'll be seeing many more in the near future.

So, anyway, here are some recent pictures of mine:

This is my grandma's piano.  I really like the lighting.  It's very warm, as fancy photographers would say :P

That cute kitty is Mittens.  She is my grandma's, also.  (Not technically, but she's a stray, and my grandma pets, brushes, and feeds her periodically.)

The picture above is a "late-bloomer", as Grandma calls it.  It's a Redbud tree.  Very pretty.  And now I have a camera that can actually FOCUS!

I've posted some other photos of the pansies, but this one is close up.

We got a gutter put up, for the rain, you know, and we also bought a "rain chain"  for it.  Nate was out working in the yard, so that's him in the background.  :)

New Camera

So yesterday I received a package from my amazing cousin.  He sent me his Nikon D200. :)  I am sooo happy about it.  But sadly, I can't put the pictures that i've taken onto the computer because there's no connection cord and the memory card wonn't go into our printer/computer.  :(  But, hopefully soon, I'll have it.  :)

[Duck] Pond

I was at my friend's house this week and I took some pictures of their pond.  (There were also some ducks on the pond)

My mom likes the last one with the reflection.  I like the top picture because of the ducks. :)

Today at church, someone came up to me and asked if I was going to enter my pictures in the County Fair.  I said I didn't know and my mom said it was too late, but maybe next year.   We shall see.  :)

Nature :)

So, I know this whole blog is basically nature, but I didn't know what else to cal this post... so it will be "Nature". :)  yep.

 This is an extremely spastic caterpillar.  Poor guy. :(  I found him in a crack in the driveway.  We thought he was dead, but after I lifted him out of the crack, and poked him a little, he started spazzing out and flipping over.  His belly is light pink with hot pink spots.  Anybody know what he is???

 This is a lovely dogwood blossom that my grandma wanted me to take pictures of.  I did. :)

I'm not really sure what this is called....  But it hangs...  I believe that there's a bee in there somewhere. :)

These are some azaleas that are around the block where we were talking a walk.  Are they beautiful, or what!?

I Sewed!

I'm so happy about this! :) I used my grandma's old Singer and fixed the seam on my jammie pants. :) We used to sew just about every time we came over to Grandma's house, and I did it again today.  It wasn't a very big project, but it was still fun!

This is the sewing machine. :) Is it cute or what!?  It folds out from a desk/table.  (And, I'm finally strong enough to lift it, for those of you who know how heavy it is.)

 These are the pants.  They are what I call "boppy" pants because of my silky blankie I had as a young child. :)

And this, of course, is the seam.

As I was putting the machine away, my mom rolled my grandma down the hall and explained that I had been sewing.  Grandma said, "Ev really took to that."  Then I showed her the seam and she gave me some tips on what to do with the thread. :)  Just like her.

Spring Flowers

Tuesday I was quite bored, so I deceided to go take some pictures.  I took lots of flower pictures, and some other nature-related pictures.

My grandma recently got some landscaping done, so there were these very bright pink impatients.

This is a "winter bouquet"--at least, that's what my grandma calls it.  I don't know the real name.  No one really does.

Here's some wood.  :)  My brother recently cut down a tree. 

Okay, so Tuesday was a very, VERY good day of focusing and lighting.  The flash was off on all of these pictures. :) Yea!!!!

Beautiful Bouquet

So, there is a multitude of flowers at our house because of my sister and grandma receiving them.  I deceided I would shoot some because they are be-a-utiful!  These are on the table, but there are others in the livingroom, by the door, and in the kitchen.  We have PLENTY! :) hehe...

There were beautiful big sunflowers mixed in with the other flowers.  They make me so happy. :)

This is just amazing focus and lighting.  I am sooooo super proud of my camera!

The daisies were definitley the easiest to shoot.  Mostly because there was that big bud-thing in front so that the focus was on the daisies, but it works! :)

My favorite picture is the sunflowers at the top.  It's just so bright and happy!  :)

A Day on the Porch

Earlier this week my mom and I were out on the back porch.  I was working on my schoolwork and we were playing with the dogs.  I had the camera and took pictures of my grandma's beautiful plants.  (She also came out and pointed out lots of tiny buds that my mom and I didn't even see)  Here are some pictures of dogs and plants (and a wall).

 Our dogs are both pretty much food-driven, so when Nate got out the treats, they knew what to do.

I really, really, REALLY like this picture of Drover! The light and focus are perfect!  

I like how the focus is on the buds and everything else around it is fuzzy!

I just like the, um..., lines in this picture.  And the contrast of clean brick and dusty/dirty brick. :)

The light was just amazing that day. This is my grandma sitting out on the porch.  She really enjoyed looking at all of the plants and seeing the doggies. :)

Not Going Gently

COLORado

I have been wanting to post picture from our trip this past summer, but they were always on a different computer.  But not today!  I am posting some flower pictures.  They're just from around different places.

These were in the front yard of where we stayed.

My dad, my brother, and I took a hike and I took our camera.  We came across a lot of flowers and I managed to get a couple good shots.

These were in town outside of a little row of little cute shops.  We sat outside on the wooden steps.  :)
 

And lastly, here are some Poppies!  They're just be-a-utiful!  Wouldn't you agree?  

I did absolutely nothing to these pictures.  It's just amazing lighting and beautiful colors.  All of these pictures have great color.  But I think it's mostly Colorado itself.

Valentine's Day (sorta)

So.... I took this picture on Valentine's Day, and I'm calling it Valentine's Day, but it  is really two days after... Is that cheating???  Of course NOT!  :)  Hehe...  So, anyways, here is my picture:

They are Carnations.  My wonderful siblings bought them for me and they were delivered by people at my school.  I love my sisters and brother!  They're grrrrrrr-eat!!!!!
